Germany to allocate EUR 27 million to support the energy sector reform of Georgia

The German government will allocate 27 million euros to support the energy sector reform of Georgia.

The relevant agreement was signed by Lasha Khutsishvili, Georgian Finance Minister and Birgit Holderied-Kress, KfW South Caucasus Regional Office Director.

The event was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia Ernst Peter Fischer.

“With this agreement, the Georgian government will continue to use the potential of renewable energy, energy efficiency, and market-oriented electricity,” said the Georgian Finance Ministry.
