U.S. Ambassador to Georgia Kelly Degnan has said that America stands proudly with Georgian partners in caring for their injured soldiers.

"We stand proudly with our Georgian partners in caring for their injured soldiers, many of whom stood proudly with the United States and our allies in Iraq and Afghanistan. It has been an honor assisting Georgia in this noble undertaking and we look forward to seeing this wonderful project flourish thanks to the generosity and support of so many. The Maro Makashvili Rehabilitation Center and the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation demonstrate Georgia’s firm commitment to ensure these veterans are not forgotten, that the burdens are not theirs alone to bear. These dynamic ventures demonstrate to the Georgian people and to the Georgian Defense Forces that service to those who have served the nation is a collective responsibility." - Ambassador Degnan said at the Wounded Warrior Support Foundation Charity Event.
