
Erdogan: Zangazur corridor is new integration line to Turkic world

The Zangazur corridor is not only a land connection with Nakhchivan for Azerbaijan, but also a new integration line extending to the Turkic world through Türkiye, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, Report informs via TRT Haber.
Speaking to journalists aboard the plane while returning from Azerbaijan, Erdogan stated that the opening of this passage in a short time will also strengthen the transport and energy infrastructure of the Caucasus:
"We expect our neighbor Iran to support these steps that will serve peace, security and development in our region. We want everyone to benefit from this environment. Every step taken, every door and corridor opened will bring economic gain and bring countries closer over time."
The Turkish leader also added that he strongly supports Azerbaijan's reconstruction and development activities in the liberated territories.
According to Erdogan, Türkiye has for years attached great importance to preventing ongoing suffering and establishing stability, security and prosperity in the South Caucasus:
"Türkiye welcomes the steps taken between Azerbaijan and Armenia. It sees the agreement reached on the text of the peace treaty as an important development on the path to stability and wishes this process to be concluded soon. Dear Azerbaijan, the winner of the war, has also emerged as the architect of peace in the region."
