Projecting of access road and railway to the Anaklia Deep Sea port is actively underway. The project organization presented four options of this project to the Roads Department. The Technical Council of the Roads Department chose the first option. The project organization will continue its work on the selected option to present the detailed project. 

Detailed geological works will be started on the selected direction, documents regarding the environmental impact assessment and resettlement action plan will be prepared.

Australian Multinational Company SMEC prepares the project for access road and railway to Anaklia Deep Sea Port. SMEC has to prepare the project for October 2019. 

The contractual cost of the project is 7 million GEL.  

The construction of the access road and railway to Anaklia Deep Sea Port will be completed before operating of the Anaklia Deep Sea Port.
